We did not post much about Gregg´s case in 2008. In October there was a hearing, but it went bad for Gregg and for the truth of this case that was made up by a four time felon to get himself out of jail, and who left Gregg, an innocent man, inside in exchange for the felon´s false testimony.

Gregg´s Public Defenders were not effective, and Gregg tried to fire them, but the judge would not let him. The Defenders only brought up one of the issues that matter in the case: two sleeping jurors. But what about the prosecutor misconduct, withholding defense evidence, misidentification, intent, and many more issues that brought injustice to Gregg? And the 22,000 dollars spent on lawyers who do not do proper work?

“Freedom Is Just Another Word”

I have respect for the honesty and integrity of my friends. That is why I am contacting you with this tragic story, a part of this country that is becoming more and more common. The persecution of its own citizens by over-zealous, politically motivated, and deviate state employees called prosecutors and judges. Perhaps this story will grab your attention. Maybe, someone would see a story of ultimate sadness, a story of an American family devastated by unfair “Justice”, by the system of government our sons, brothers, fathers and daughters are dying for.

This story is true, a recent calamity wrought upon a hardworking, law abiding, tax-paying family from Golden, Colorado. Jefferson County District Court, the same county in question for its alleged cover-up of Columbine School fame. The same county that decimated a former (Denver) District Judges life so much so, that he committed suicide. The same county that has the highest inmate suicide rate in the country (per capita). The same county that just sentenced one of its own detention facility psychologists for child abuse, she kept her grandson in a dog kennel, eight hours a day for years. The county seat of Coors Brewery, Colorado School of Mines, Gateway to the Rockies, and former state capitol; The county that convicts innocent people, and has sentences so out of proportion that people want to bypass driving through!

This is about a false and fraudulent conviction of a 50 year old grandfather of six. A 45-year resident and taxpayer. Sentenced to 24 years in prison for the crime of “Solicitation to Commit Murder” against a sheriff’s deputy because he gave himself a bad haircut! How is that for fabricated intent? The story was national on February 9, 2005. The article in the paper was totally inaccurate, except for the sentence. This poor individual lost his freedom because a 4 time convicted felon was “paid” a waiver of a life sentence for this perjurous testimony! A crime with no victim, no weapon, no logical motivation, nothing but one first time jail snitch who was let out on probation only to be arrested AGAIN before he was to testify against, basically, a first time offender. BECAUSE HE WAS ANGRY ABOUT A HAIRCUT HE GAVE TO HIMSELF! If true, this man should have been committed to a mental facility. There was no truth to the states only witness testimony. Proof of the perjury, motivated by a state deal, lies in the trial transcripts, family members and attorneys present at trial.

The witness who was a habitual felon, did not identify the defendant at trial when asked to. Even though the “solicitor” defendant was seated at the “defendants” table. This “reliable” witness testified that he picked this “crazed” man who tried to hire him to “take out” a deputy, out of a photo lineup! But he also testified he never had “face to face” contact with this man! And after not identifying the defendant, the prosecution realized the total fraudulent perjury of the witness. The prosecutor then proceeded to point at the defendant and as recorded in the trial records asked his witness, “If the man sitting at the end of the defendants table was the man that solicited him!” Is this the legal system our country fights for and postulates to other non-democratic countries? This is the state that the National Democratic Convention is going to be held. Fraud to the jury to convict an innocent grandfather of 6, a local man who worked locally and paid taxes diligently. Who do you want back on the streets? Who deserves to be in prison? The prosecutor for one, he let a habitual felon back on the streets, to commit more crimes, for his testimony!

An innocent man, arrested on, but not convicted of, trumped up charges of attempted auto theft, criminal mischief and felony menacing. Who plead guilty to possession of burglary tools and misdemeanor menacing and after 3 days in county jail, was accused of solicitation to commit murder over a bad hair cut!! Is this your democracy, your USA that we are so proud of? A justice system who ruined a man’s life, his family’s life, and caused even more tragedy through a false erroneous charge and conviction of his son. That man is me. Gregg Savajian. This is your country, your state, your county. Mine was fair and just, stood up for the underdog, the little guy. Not the millionaire or politician or the celebrity – the country that protected its citizens, not persecuted them. Freedom is just another word – for the wealthy and privileged.

Gregg's appeal denied :(

On 11th of September Gregg received a letter from his attorney that the appeal was denied.... The court said there was enough evidence with just the word of a 4 time convict... They never acknowledged that he did not identify Gregg.Even the reply of the appelate cour judges had a major error. They did not even get the information from the trial transcripts accurate....

Gregg is stunned by this development. Now he has to motion for a re-hearing, with the same judges! After that, it is the state Supreme Court, with..... the same judges!

Gregg paid 20,000 dollars for his attorney.

Letter of July 14th: mental health watch

Gregg wrote that he is now on Mental Health watch. He is depressed about his sentence and the unfairness, and of being in solitary confinement. Also because his son was sentenced to 21 years in prison and he was not even at the scene of the crime. Gregg is worried about his grandchildren, who are with son's ex-wife, who has not maintained contact with Gregg.

I was arrested in February 2003, for not having a drivers' licence while operating a vehicle. I was returning someone's truck who had parked near the house I was staying at. I was pulled over by the police, because the licence plates were expired. They (the police) searched the vehicle and found an empty bag, an 1 gram bag with trace amounts of methamphetamine in it. It was not my truck or my baggie. But I was driving?? I was put on probation and scheduled to "do classes" and some other "gout money making crap" in November 2003.

A girlfriend of mine was evicted from her house (with two children) and a dog, because her then roommate took off with her rent money. Her dog ran away after the gate was left open. The city gave her a ticket for a loose dog. Follow me? The ticket was mailed to her now empty house. She got pulled over by police while going to pick her daughter up from school. No blinker or turn signal??!!

They had a warrant out for her arrest for not paying "the loose dog ticket." She went to jail and lost her auto, her house, her furniture, etc. I went to see her in jail to cheer her up. I had a back pack that had automotive repair tools in it, ok? On the way home I got off at the bus stop closest to where I was living. Someone had been in this parking lot that I was dropped off at earlier that night, 8-9 PM. The police saw me, picked me up and saw I had "tools" and a pending drug charge and put me in a county jail. I have lived in this town 46 years with no problem except that drug possession ticket.

Well, I am a fun loving, adventurous person. I was arrested the same night I visited this girlfriend who I told I would check on her car and visit the next night. Well, I was in jail one floor above her at the jail. Is this boring? Too bad! So, I had this knee de-mobilizer brace on my leg. It had aluminium flexible rods on each side of my knee. I took them out of the brace and dug a hole between floors of the jail, to talk to the grls, send notes and just be happy. The hole was 1-2 inches wide x 10 inches long, and about 18 inches between floors.

I did not dig through the concrete, just cleaned some debris out. Well, my neighbor, next cell over, took a piece of the metal out of the crack and turned it over to a guard. He said I wanted to pay him $ 200.00 to kill the guard. Why did I want to kill a guard? You ask? The guy I allegedly hired to kill the guard said, in court, that I was furious over my bad haircut. I'm in jail for 24 years because this ass made this lie up to get immunity on his charges. He was facing 48 years for his 7th burglary. The court gave him 4 years probation for his testimony.

That's why I am in prison. The whole hideous story. My attorney was terrible. The "witness" against me did not or could not identify me in court! One of the jury members fell asleep during one whole day of testimony. My attorney, who has already cost me $17000.00, has filed an appeal to overturn my conviction. Pretty crazy huh? I sit in solitary confinement because I am so dangerous, you know, wanting to kill a guard because of a "bad hair day." So, here I sit, 23 hours a day, in a 7x16" cell waiting. Waiting for our self righteous government to exonerate me.

It was nationwide news. 50 years old! First time in jail! Three days in jail and I want to kill somebody I do not even know, because "I gave myself a bad haircut"!!
